This weekend was pretty busy! We had Brad’s department’s Christmas party, Christmas shopping on Saturday, and the Cowboys losing their game on Sunday! :(

But, besides the ‘boys losing, it was a pretty good weekend – here are some highlights:

Christi and I delivered our Snow Corn creations on Saturday – it was an interesting experience, including a creepy house with wind chimes (a la Stephen King style!), as well as a very strange sounding man…and I just like that 2nd picture of the popcorn…

Later that day, we met up with Brad and Brian to do some Christmas shopping (before Brad chickened out because the mall was too crowded – the ABILENE mall was too crowded…), on the way, I got to sit with Jackson in the backseat!

I took about a million pictures before I finally got this almost smile out of him:

On Sunday, I decided to make some cookies – Brad remarked the other day when I brought some cookies to a coworker that I never had made cookies for him, so I decided to try out my new KitchenAid mixer and make Brad feel loved. ;)

Christi showed up in time to help me decorate – and we all helped Brad eat them!

Brad kept a fire going for much of the weekend, and it was really nice – not to mention that we got to make S’mores!

So that’s my weekend filled with sweets – time to go on a diet! ;)

The very first Christmas where Brad and I put up our Christmas tree was when our cat Noah was just a kitten – I’ll never forget that one morning Brad woke up and walked into our living room to find that tiny Noah had climbed to the top of the tree! After that though, Noah’s been content to lay under the tree. Of course I always hated it because our tree skirt was a dark maroon velvet and his long white hairs stuck to it perfectly. Soon, though, I gave up the fight and resigned that it was just “his space.” Luckily Aida never has tried to climb the tree, but she loves to lay under there with him.

I caught them under the tree the other night and thought I’d share – Aida started to take off as soon as I showed up under the tree – that’s why she’s yelling at the camera:

Lol, and that’s how you know I need kids! ;)

Well, I promised that I wasn’t dead, but I haven’t really posted much, huh? The last couple of weeks have been a little crazy. At work they changed my duties (again!). It really is pretty cool though. Now instead of being the KTAB Promotions Director and the “Emerging Media Resource Director,” I am now only concerned with web only, so no promotions! I’m a little sad, because promotions was always my first love here at the station, but I am really enjoying working on the website and getting to really focus my abilities instead of having to constantly divide my attention.

Of course with great power comes pains in the backside! They had me move – again! Ironically I’m sitting about a foot away from where I used to sit – in my old office! I’m actually sharing my old office with Tom, the New Media Sales Manager. And although I was very apprehensive about the move when I first learned of it (I didn’t want to give up having my own personal office!), it’s really not too bad. Tom is easy enough to get along with if you don’t take him too seriously, and we both enjoy working with music on, and enjoy the same types of music! So, it’s working out so far.

Today my new desk got assembled, so I’ve stayed up late tonight to get it all where I want it and get stuff unpacked – it’s so hard for me to work unless everything is “just so.” Here’s a look at my new work home:

New Office

This weekend we had Thanksmas, which Christi already posted about, but I thought I’d add some of my favorite shots:

Before lunch, Uncle Brad had a chance to feed Jackson>

Brad and I were excited to give Jackson his first Christmas present from us!

Of course, he needed a little help from Mom and Dad>

Altogether I can see Jackson was just so excited… :)

So that’s my update!

Just a quick note to let everyone know that I’m not dead yet…but this has definitely been a hectic week. I’ll elaborate later, but suffice to say I’ve got a new office and am in total disaray until I get things organized! ><
